Creators make the value. Platforms keep it.
The Society for Social & Economic Liberation organizes creators to close that gap — and puts what's recovered into housing, food, medicine, and education, instead of back into platform capital.

The contradiction
Recommendation algorithms, livestream commerce, and the labor of millions of individual creators now produce more value than the ownership structure around them was built to hold. Creators supply attention, trust, originality, and community. Platforms and brands hold the algorithm, the payment rails, the data, and the contracts.
Every unexplained split, every algorithm change, every sudden deplatforming is that gap, felt one person at a time. Organized, it becomes something else: a shared material interest, acted on together.

What we're actually building
Not AI regulation. Not a vague mass awakening. Those follow from this — they aren't why SSEL exists. The founding purpose is narrower: build an economic model where creators hold enough collective control of the value they create that the benefit is structural, not individual.

The floor
Not a benefit for one class of workers. A floor under everyone.

How it's structured
Three bodies, three legal forms, one pipeline: commercial revenue funds organizing capacity, and organizing leverage funds a physical home.
Cult Content
The commercial engine. A TikTok Shop-certified affiliate agency proving the mechanism works at small scale.
SSEL
The organizing body. A creator union negotiating with platforms, AI companies, and government — and setting a free floor of access.
First Light
The sanctuary. A retreat center, and the seed of a longer-term network of them.
TikTok Shop funds the land. The land sustains the culture.

Where this stands
DC is the pilot. The plan is to repeat it — new cities, new cultures, new languages — once it's proven here.

Where things stand, legally
SSEL is a Virginia nonstock corporation currently completing incorporation. It does not yet hold federal tax-exempt status. We'd rather be exact about where things stand than sound further along than we are — this page will update as that changes.
